TPG The Project Group Gives First-Time Live Demo of Integration between Microsoft Project 2010 and SAP

The Project Group, a full-service provider of enterprise-wide project management (EPM) based on Microsoft Project Server, will be giving the first live demo of its integration of Microsoft EPM 2010 with SAP at this year’s Microsoft Project Conference in Phoenix, AZ. The demonstration, which uses TPG PSLink, is being organized in conjunction with Siemens IT Solutions and Services and is based on a real-life application scenario for Siemens Energy. It will be shown during a conference presentation on Wednesday September 16 from 2:30pm to 3:45pm. TPG PSLink is the world’s leading – and sole SAP-certified – integration product. Together with a range of additional TPG products, TPG PSLink has already been ported to Project 2010 at an exceptionally early stage. This was done within the framework of the Microsoft Technical Adoption Program (TAP). TPG, the Platinum Sponsor of the Project Conference, also announced today that it will have finished porting its entire portfolio of products by the middle of 2010, in good time for the launch of the new version of Microsoft Project.
Since Microsoft’s Technical Adoption Program (TAP) started in January 2009, TPG has been working to adapt its products to the new version of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM). Stavros Georgantzis, managing director and co-owner of TPG The Project Group, comments: “The support we have had from the TAP’s program managers and developers at Microsoft has been exemplary. We’ve managed to port our products to Project 2010 so quickly that we’ll even be able to demonstrate new versions of some of the key ones during the conference.”

Alongside TPG PSLink, TPG The Project Group will also be showing beta versions of the following products at the conference:
– TPG ProjectLink to easily connect tasks and information in multi-project management
– TPG TeamLink for graphical resource optimization between project and line managers
– TPG ProjectProperties for easier management of key project master data
– TPG MTA, providing milestone trend analysis in client and server versions
– TPG PortfolioPlanner, the new tool for graphical resource optimization within a project portfolio.

Customers with existing EPM solutions will benefit from TPG’s technical expertise and development upgrades. For example, an existing solution using TPG products can be migrated comparatively quickly to Microsoft EPM 2010. Also, older configurations only need slight modifications and can then be re-used.

TPG has been operating in North and South America since May 2007 via its subsidiary TPG America. Its US office provides customers with implementation services and training on Microsoft Enterprise Project Management, as well as the whole TPG product portfolio.
